Our Government Was Right Not to Re-Instate Haneef's Visa

Minister for Immigration Kevin Andrews is right to refuse to re-instate Mohammed Haneef's visa.

This is our country and we have the right to allow in or keep out whoever we choose, and we don't have to give  a reason.

We have been told nothing about this man,  beyond that he is a doctor, a muslim and   that he lent  his SIM card to a shonky relative but it was NOT  found in the car that was used in the failed bombing at Glasgow airport.

We know nothing of his political views, who he associates with, or whether he is a radical or a moderate, whether he is devout or casual, or whether he is totally politically disinterested. Maybe  no one has asked him.

However, the implication by his media cheer squad and the civil libertarians  that terrorists don't have wives and babies is the  most laughable idea  of the year.

If he does turn out ot be a fellow  traveller of terrorism, will Channel Nine be charged with recklessly financing terror by paying him for their pathetically naive and superficial  interview?

Lenin said "When we hang the last of the capitalists they will be fighting each other for the privilege of selling us the rope."

When the first big one goes off in Australia our media will be queueing up with their cheque books for exclusive rights to interview the perpetrators.
