When Is Our Government Going to Dis-Arm the Middle Eastern Gangs ?

When is our Government going to make a serious effort to  get lethal weapons out of the hands of middle eastern gangs?

The Sunday Telegraph of Nov 5th  revealed that rocket launchers have been smuggled into Sydney and are changing hands for $15,000 each.

Just think, brother,  for the price of that flash new  BMW you could get yourself 10. Wouldn't that be more fun?

Too bad if  some of these weapons are in the hands of ALP members. They might get used at a branch stacking meeting if tempers get too heated.

We thought John Howard was onto the problem of dangerous weapons in the community  after his famous gun buy-back sceme.

Maybe now we need a rocket-propelled-grenade launcher buy-back scheme.

You'd have thought the penny would have dropped when the Lakemba police station  was shot up with automatic weapons in 1999.

Or when the reprisal raids on Cronulla and Maroubra were celebrated with text messages like
"We will take Sydney from Cronulla to the Rocks/With our AK[47]'s and our
Glocks".

There are middle eastern gangs in Sydney better armed than our Police Force, yet the Government is  underplaying the danger when they know full well these things can bring down a plane.

The only answer is for Customs to search EVERY SHIPPING CONTAINER coming into Australia from the Middle East.

While they're doing that they might even uncover a few drug shipments as well.
