Erasing Multiculturalism - John Howard Takes Another One Nation Policy

John Howard's decision to finally abandon  multiculturalism, by renaming the "Department of Immigration and Multicultural Affairs" the "Department of Immigration and Citizenship" is yet another One Nation policy taken by the Government.

The official One Nation manifesto on immigration states clearly 're-Australianise the department by returning to its correct name"Immigration Department". We will dismantle the multiculturalism part...'

Sacking  Amanda Vanstone is another good move, as her philosphy on immigration and refugees seems to have been "come one, come all".   With Kevin Andrews in the job, who'll do everything John Howard tells him, and an election in the offing, there's a good chance we'll see some improvement.

Off shore detention of illegals, the abolition of ATSIC, revision of family law, revamp of Citizenship and now the renaming of the Immigration Department, how many more One Nation policies have to be comandeered by the Government before coalition  voters realise they might as well just vote One Nation in the first place?
