Bureau of Crime Statisticians must be On Drugs Themselves

The claim  by the Bureau of Crime Statistics  that crime has decreased in Kings Cross since the shooting gallery  (euphemistically called an injecting room) opened is a contradiction in terms.

Whoever produced the report must have been  on some sort of hallucinogenic substance  themselves.

Illegal drug use is in itself a crime, and that's what goes on in the shooting gallery  every hour of the day, so by definition it has increased crime.

Residents and business owners will tell you street drug dealing has inceased in the area  and goes on constantly with the full knowledge of the Labor Government and the police.

The room has been a confidence trick  inflicted on Sydney since it was heralded with phrases like "safe" injecting, "harm minimisation" and"saving lives". How can it be safe to inject yourself with heroin, and with regard to the mythical 1800 lives that are claimed to have been saved, how can you put a figure on something that never happened?

The discredited philosphy behind the establishment is that people should be allowed to use drugs if they want to, and society's  job is to pick up the pieces afterwards.

All over Sydney police have been told to go easy on street level dealers, the "small fish", and concentrate on the "big fish" who produce or import the large quantities, because spectacuilar drug busts of the "big fish" make good media, when in fact it is the "small fish"   that just as much keep the drug trade going.

This is another example of how the Iemma Government can't be trusted and must be thrown out of office at the next election.
