One Nation have pleasure in announcing Jim Evans as the One Nation candidate for the seat of Cooke! Jim has lived in the area for over thirty years and knows the community and their issues intimately.

Jim will also be mentored by Rosa Le Long, past member for "Tablelands" for three terms who could not be voted out being so popular so Lib/Nat and Labor called for a redistribution of boundaries which was done and the rest is history. Absolutely outrageous!

Jim Savage, State President and Ian Nelson State Director spent Monday and Tuesday in the seats of Cooke and Dalrymple to look at candidates and are encouraged at what they saw.

Jim and Ian spent time with Rosa and partner Peter to re-connect and are very appreciative of this. One Nation will be running candidates right across the area and are hopeful to be announcing more candidates very soon.

One area of particular interest will be "Charters Towers" as we have not had the opportunity to spend any time there but things are different now and we intend to spend time there very soon and return there again and again until all of Charters Towers knows we're there ready, willing and able to represent them on every issue unlike their current sitting member!
